Abstract

This paper looks at Asian cities’ achievements in creating creative infrastructure with respect to promoting and ensuring an equitable economy. Asia is the region that is urbanizing the fastest in the world, so building infrastructure that is inclusive, sustainable, and prepared for the future is vital. Cities can effectively combine smart technologies with proper policies and investments in hard infrastructure, even though the implementation of such solutions can be expensive. This article makes the case that developing smart cities requires giving practical solutions a higher priority than glitzy technologies. Cities that are both vibrant and sustainable are critical to any nation’s economic development. Numerous Asian cities have used cutting-edge strategies adapted to their own requirements and circumstances in order to do this. To achieve a thriving city where residents have access to world-class infrastructure, services and amenities, several Asian cities have adopted innovative solutions based on their unique contexts and needs. Case examples from Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong, India, and India are given to highlight the difficulties, unique challenges these cities encountered and the innovative as well as creative solutions they came up with. Various methods, such as public-private partnerships (PPPs), technological advancements, and community involvement, are among these alternatives. This research offers insights into how Asian cities are effectively tackling the problems of urbanization while maintaining equitable economic growth and sustainable development through case studies.
