Abstract

“Sustainable Tourism in India” delves into the growing phenomenon of environmentally conscious tourism in one of the world’s most culturally diverse and multifaceted nations. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of sustainable tourism practices in India, emphasizing eco-friendly destinations, responsible business practices, and community-based initiatives. It examines the environmental, social, and economic challenges of tourism in India and highlights successful case studies that balance growth with sustainability. The study offers practical recommendations for policymakers, businesses, and travelers to promote responsible tourism that conserves natural resources, respects local cultures, and supports economic development. The results highlight how sustainable tourism may be a catalyst for good and guarantee the long-term health of India’s tourism sector. This paper examines the idea of sustainable tourism in the context of India, showcasing eco-friendly travel locations and activities, analyzing difficulties encountered, and suggesting tactics for advancing sustainable tourism.
