Abstract
Biosorption is potentially an attractive technology for removing heavy metals from wastewater and discharging heavy metals into an aquatic ecosystem has become a matter of concern all over the globe since the last century. Pollutants from various industrial operations disturb the aquatic systems and heavy metals present in them cause serious human diseases. Previously established methods, such as chemical precipitation, ion exchange, membrane separation, and adsorption are generally costly due to their reliance on complex equipment, high operational expenses, and significant energy demands. Hence, it demanded a great need for the development of more cost-effective methods for such measurements. In recent research, agricultural waste and fruit waste have become the thrust area of investigation to analyze and complete removal of heavy metals from polluted water samples using UV-Visible Spectrophotometric Method. The present research work employs apple residue being more economical, low cost, easily available and effective. Present research work of newly synthesized polymeric networks emphasizes the use and control of the effectiveness of apple residue to remove Cu2+and Cr6+ ions from synthetic wastewater and from other waste materials in water bodies. Metal ions loaded polymeric network and synthesized polymeric network were further characterized by using FTIR spectroscopy.
