Abstract

The study was under taken to assess the efficacy of intradialytic flexibility exercise on quality of life among clients with chronic kidney disease in selected hospitals at Bangalore. It was identified that In experimental group, the mean posttest quality of life score was 103.40 which is higher than mean pretest quality of life score 54.80. Within-group comparisons using the paired t-test showed a significant improvement in the quality of life of the experimental group at the P ≤ 0.05 level with 14 degrees of freedom (t = 27.28). In contrast, there was no significant change in the pre-test and post-test quality of life scores in the control group. Between group comparisons using student‘t’ test showed no significance in pretest (t=0.63). But high significance in the post test (t=23.06) at P≤0.05 for 28 df. Hence the study concluded that there is a significant improvement in quality of life among clients with chronic kidney disease after administering intradialytic stretching exercise.
