Service temperature attenuated materialsBy Bangshidhar Goswami, Atul Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, Bijay Kumar Singh
Abstract: Service temperatures in engineering materials have been one of important factors. It alone has not been only controlling variable for creep properties. Useful services from useful materials therefore have been more important within temperature ranges stipulated for certain services. Temperature ranges of interest to materials engineer have been ranged from cryogenic regions (- 200oC) to temperature of a tungsten-filament lamp (2000oC). This article has been description of materials from room …

Essential of bearing in materials engineeringBy Bangshidhar Goswami, S. K. Prasad, B. N. Choudhary, D. Das, A. Dasgupta, S. Prasad, G. S. Sharma, TPK. Gautam, S. P. Singh, Y. P. Rao, V. Sharma
Abstract: Essentials of bearing have been to maintain lubricant film to prevent metal to metal contact and hence local welding of two surfaces. Tribological and mechanical properties have improved by powder metallurgy route of bearing fabrications. Alloyed non-ferrous plane bearings have better friction coefficients than pure metals. Betterment has appeared in babbit/ bronze particulate reinforced composites. Ni addition has improved performances of graphite-lead free tin bronze composite layers on surface of …
