Abstract: Effect of Sodium Chloride and Potassium chloride on the co-oxidation of oxalic Acid and glutaric Acid by Chromic Acid has been studied. The products are carbonyl di carboxylic Acid and Carbon dioxide. The rate of oxidation decreases with the increase in the concentration of Sodium Chloride and Potassium Chloride.
