Abstract: The effect of different concentrations of tungstate and nitrite ions as corrosion inhibitors on the corrosion behavior of the sputter-deposited ternary Cr–10Zr–10W alloy was studied in 0.5 M NaCl solution open to air at 25±1°C using corrosion tests and corrosion potential measurement. The use of both the tungstate and nitrite ions enhanced the corrosion resistance properties of the alloy in 0.5 M NaCl solution. It is found that the tungstate …
