  Abstract: Danger signs of new born increases the neonatal mortality. The main signs are hypothermia, umbilical design cord sepsis, jaundice, lethargy, lack of breast feeding, respiratory distress. One group pre-test post-test pre-experimental design was adopted. The study was conducted in Mirsahibpet emergency and obstetric centre in Chennai.
