Abstract: Installation of energy dissipaters enhances the energy dissipation capacity of the structure. For an earthquake response, energy dissipation capacity and an innovative approach of design of these systems, this research work recommends use of Steel moment resisting frame (SMRF) enhanced with passive energy dissipaters.
