Abstract: A miniaturized microstrip-fed multiband antenna is presented. Slots inside the rectangular patch with a modified ground plane are utilized to generate multiple frequency bands. The proposed antenna has a substrate size of 30*30 mm2, fed by a 50 Ω microstrip feed line and covers four frequency bands with resonant frequencies 2.5 GHz, 3.3 GHz, 5.3 GHz and 5.8 GHz respectively.
