Abstract: Effects of the cross-section shape of snow compression pressure vessels on snow compression properties between snow compaction density ρ and axial formation pressure pz were investigated to obtain basic data to support snow compression pressure vessel design. Snow compression pressure vessels with cylindrical, square, and rectangular cross sections were used for those experiments.
