Development of Geo-Polymer based Light Weight BricksBy Rajendra Prasad, Priya G. D. V, Nagamalleswara Rao Kanidarapu
Abstract: Light weight geopolymer bricks were developed during this study. The mix was made with lime sodium silicate and fly ash as ingredients. A maximum shrinkage was observed at CaO lime ratio of 1.0. Bulk densities were also lower at the ratio of 1.0. The maximum cold crushing strength (CCS) value was found at the ratio of 0.745. Increase in mix water decreased the strength. Water content of 24% is recommended …

Design and Pinch Analysis of Styrene Production Process Using Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Energy AnalyzerBy Nagamalleswara Rao Kanidarapu, G. Koteswara Reddy, P. Rajendra Prasad, V. Sujatha
Abstract: This paper presents the design and energy analysis of styrene production process. Process flow diagram is designed using Aspen HYSYS. Styrene product obtained is of purity 73% and further purity is recommended. Pinch analysis is applied to the process plant by using Aspen Energy Analyzer, as a part of that in the first step all the stream data is extracted, in the second step heat exchanger networks (HEN) is developed …

Design and Pinch Analysis of Methyl Acetate Production Process using Aspen Plus and Aspen Energy AnalyzerBy Nagamalleswara Rao Kanidarapu, G. Koteswara Reddy, P. Rajendra Prasad, V. Sujatha
Abstract: Abstract This study deals with the design and heat integration of Methyl Acetate production process. Initially, Methyl Acetate production process plant is designed using Aspen Plus. Methyl acetate obtained is 99.99% pure and the designed plant is safe to environment with less emissions. For the developed process plant, pinch analysis is applied using Aspen Energy Analyzer. Improved Heat exchanger networks (HEN) is obtained with retrofit analysis of the process plant. …

Pinch analysis of Cumene process using Aspen Energy AnalyzerBy Nagamalleswara Rao Kanidarapu, G. Koteswara Reddy, P. Rajendra Prasad, V. Sujatha
Abstract: This article is divided into two parts. In the first part a process flow diagram for the production of cumene is designed with Aspen HYSYS. Cumene obtained is 98.78% pure and the designed plant is safe to environment with less emissions. In the second part heat exchanger networks (HEN) was developed for the process plant by performing pinch analysis using Aspen Energy Analyzer. Retrofit analysis was applied to find an …
