An Energy-Efficient CMOS Analog Front-End for Wearable Biomedical Monitoring ApplicationsBy Rahul Ghodake, Vaibhav Godase, Soham Modi, Vishal Misal
Abstract: Because wearable biomedical monitoring technologies allow for continuous, real-time, and remote measurement of physiological parameters, they are quickly becoming a key component of contemporary healthcare. These systems place stringent demands on the analog front-end (AFE), which must accurately acquire and condition extremely low-amplitude biopotential signals such as electrocardiogram (ECG), electroencephalogram (EEG), and electromyogram (EMG) while operating under severe power and size constraints. This paper presents the design and simulation of …

A Low-Power Chopper-Stabilized Amplifier forHigh-Resolution Biomedical Signal AcquisitionBy Rahul Ghodake, Vaibhav Godase
Abstract: Biomedical signal acquisition systems such as ECG, EEG, and EMG require analog front-end (AFE) circuits capable of amplifying extremely small, low-frequency physiological signals in the presence of noise, interference, and motion-induced artifacts. These signals usually fall within the sub-millivolt range and are highly susceptible to low-frequency noise and amplifier offset. Chopper-stabilized amplifiers offer a compelling solution by suppressing flicker noise (1/f noise) and minimizing input- referred offset, especially for low-frequency …

Design of a Low-Power CMOS Operational Amplifier for Portable BiomedicalApplications.By Rahul Ghodake, Vaibhav Godase, Soham Modi, Vishal Misal
Abstract: Portable biomedical devices such as ECG, EEG, and wearable health monitors require analogfront-end circuits that operate at extremely low power while maintaining sufficient gain, bandwidth, and noise performance. Among these circuits, the operational amplifier plays acritical role in signal amplification and conditioning. This paper presents the design andanalysis of a low-power CMOS operational amplifier optimized for portable biomedicalapplications. The proposed amplifier employs a two-stage architecture using power-efficientbiasing techniques to achieve low …
