Chemical Engineering Aspects of Carrageenan Hydrogel–Silver Composite Systems: Synthesis, Structure, and PerformanceBy Sakshi Chaudhary, Jayanand Manjhi, Bibhas K. Bhunia
Abstract: This review presents a green chemistry–driven strategy for the synthesis, design, and chemical engineering of carrageenan-based hydrogel matrices embedded with green-synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) for advanced biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. Silver nanoparticles were fabricated through an environmentally benign route employing natural biopolymeric reducing and stabilizing agents, eliminating the need for hazardous chemical reagents and minimizing ecological impact. The synthesized AgNPs were subsequently incorporated into κ-carrageenan hydrogel networks under controlled physicochemical …

Role of Human Carboxylesterase’s in Xenobiotics MetabolismBy Sakshi Chaudhary, Neetu Saharan
Abstract: According to one definition, xenobiotics are alien compounds that interfere with an organism's natural metabolism. Many xenobiotics can have a number of harmful effects if they don't have metabolism. There are several phase 1 metabolizing enzymes of xenobiotics which have capability to detoxify the toxic compounds. Several important metabolic detoxication enzymes are presented, including the mammalian microsomal cytochrome Carboxylesterases. Mammalian carboxyleterases are key enzymes from the serine hydrolase enzyme. Carboxylesterases …

3D Bioprinting Approaches Utilizing Stem Cells for Tissue Regenerative EngineeringBy Sakshi Chaudhary, Neetu Saharan, Bibhas K Bhunia
Abstract: Recent advancements have enabled the application of three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies to biocompatible materials, cells, and supporting components, leading to the emergence of 3D bioprinting. Surgical limitations necessitate alternative methods for repairing and replacing diseased and damaged tissue. Regenerative medicine, a rapidly expanding field of research, has already seen the successful application of engineered tissues in patients. However, the demand for these tissues far exceeds the available supply, highlighting the …
