Dr. S A Mohan Krishna is a person with humbleness and simplicity in
approach, positively ambitious in life and ply with pragmatic thoughts.
Brought up from an illustrious family, groomed and guided by dedicated
and pious parents who are encomiastic educationists, motivated to excel
in career with flying colors. Completed Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
from one of the prestigious colleges in Mysore, Vidyavardhaka College of
Engineering (VVCE) in 2003, M. Tech in Energy Systems from Sri
Jayachamarajedra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore in 2010 and
completed Ph. D in Thermal Engineering at National Institute of
Engineering (NIE), Mysore in 2017.
Sri. Mohan Krishna joined as a Lecturer in VVCE in 2005, being
affectionately called SAM. He was promoted as Senior Lecturer in 2010
and Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in 2012, accentuating with
overall experience in the institution for 8 years. His area of interest in
teaching is mainly Thermal Engineering. He teaches Basic and Applied
Thermodynamics, Turbomachines, Heat & Mass Transfer, Energy
Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Non Conventional Energy
Sources, Fluid Mechanics and Automotive Engineering. He has taken the
venture in accomplishing a doctoral degree in Thermal Characterization
of Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites in the field of Thermal Engineering.
He is life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and
Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ISHRAE). Apart from the profession, he is a recognized amateur
astronomer and prolific science writer. He is keenly associated with
Astronomical Society of India, Breakthrough Science Society, Karnataka
Rajya Vignana Parishat, Mysore Science Foundation, Indian Academy of
Sciences, Combustion Society, Bangalore Association of Science
Education (BASE) and many other science societies and associations in
popularizing and communicating Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics,
Cosmology and essence of engineering. Contributed over 1300 science
and astronomy articles in popular newspapers, magazines and
periodicals is comprehensively aiming to reach greater heights.
