Effect of Activation on the Physicochemical Parameters and Characteristics of Ethanol Production
Abstract: This research demonstrates the effectiveness of activators used to monitor the yield of ethanol production and the role of the physicochemical parameters. The activators used in this study is Morign oleifera and NPK fertilizer as well as the process enhancing microbial activities in the bioreactor for the production of ethanol. The experimental result reveals that the physicochemical parameters enhance the effectiveness of increase in ethanol production, because the physicochemical parameters …

Fabrication and Characterization of Paper-Sludge Reinforced Polypropylene Composites
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to identify some physical and mechanical characteristics of polypropylene (PP) composites reinforced using various paper sludge (PS) and PP combinations, as well as to assess the performance of the coupling agent. The physico-chemical characteristics of the waste sludge material from paper manufacturing wastewater treatment sludge (PS) were investigated. The physical and mechanical properties of the composite were examined in the experiment using three levels …

Optimization and Control of Evaporative Separation Processes
Abstract: Evaporative separation processes are widely used in various industries, including chemical manufacturing, petroleum refining, and food and beverage processing, to separate components based on their vapor pressures. These processes involve the use of equipment such as distillation columns, evaporators, and membrane-based systems, and are critical for ensuring product quality and process efficiency. However, the complexity of evaporative separation processes and the inherent variability in feedstock composition and quality make it …

Potato Starch-Based Polyethylene Composite: Fabrication and Evaluation
Abstract: This study's objective was to create and evaluate a biodegradable polymer composite consisting of potato starch (PS) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE). The effects of changing the PS content (10– 40 wt%) on the mechanical (elongation at break and tensile modulus), thermal (heat conductivity), and biodegradability characteristics of the polymer composite were examined. Next, it was examined how the cross-linking agent influenced the polymer composite's mechanical and thermal properties. The melt …

Chemical Analysis for the Production of Liquid Detergent
Abstract: This research work is focused on rendering chemical analysis on the production of detergent with focus on the application of sodium tripolyphosphate, carboxymethyl cellulose, sulphonic acid, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), sodium silicate, and others not mentioned. In this analysis, we considered the mixture of detergent production formulated to meet the required cleansing standard of various applications. Therefore, pH of the detergent was maintained between 7 and 8 to avoid corrosion …
