A Study on Self Compacting Concrete using Portland Pozzolana Cement
Abstract: Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a type of highly flowable concrete that fills each and every corner of congested formwork without the need for mechanical vibration as it is placed by means of its own weight. Generally, the SCC is prepared by using Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) with mineral and chemical admixtures. Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) itself contains some amount of fly ash, thus given the motivation to prepare the SCC …

Prediction of Compressive strength of Periwinkle Shell Aggregate Concrete Using a Quadratic Polynomial Function
Abstract: In this study, a mathematical model is developed to predict the compressive strength of normal concrete made with periwinkle shell as coarse aggregate using a quadratic polynomial function. The response function is expressed as a multivariable function of the proportions of the component materials (water, ordinary Portland cement, sand and periwinkle shell). A total of thirty experimental runs were used to demonstrate the applicability of the mathematical model developed. The …

Modeling Concrete Tensile Strength from Fly Ash and Alccofine as Partial Replacement for Cement
Abstract: Tensile strength development were carried applying derived modeling and simulation, this study is to monitor the behaviour of the material in tensile state, Several materials has been used as modifiers or partial replacement, but the application of alccofine as a micro-fine materials has not been thoroughly applied by experts, this product has fine particles that is more finer than cement including other materials, the tensile strength behaviour from the studies …

Research on Partial Replacement of Fly Ash and Superplasticizer on Self Compacting Concrete
Abstract: In this project I have proposed a mix design procedure for self compacting concrete achieve the target mean strength in which mixes are designed on the basis of Indian Standards and suitable adjustments are done. The amount of fine aggregates, coarse aggregates, cement and mixing water as well as the dosage of superplasticizers to be used as a major factor influencing the properties of SCC in the plastic stage as …

Mechanical Properties of sand blasting residue concrete
Abstract: Sand Blasting Residue (SBR) form chain manufacturing companies as a large massive by-product. Steel-slag hydrated matrix is made of ground granulated blast furnace slag powder & steel-making slag which is the by-product of iron manufacturing. This type of construction material is called environmental conscious material in Japan. This research presented that the strength of steel-slag hydrated matrix depends on the pH of the steel-slag hydrated matrix after mixing. Firstly, cement, …
