Extracellular One Pot Green Synthesis of Palladium Nanoparticles
Abstract: Extracellular in-situ synthesis of metal nanoparticles using extracts of plants like Azadirachta indica (Neem), and Zingiber officinale (Ginger) has been successfully carried out earlier. In this study, we have developed a novel method to synthesize Palladium nanoparticles by the process of bio-chemical reaction between Palladium salt solution with seed extract of Coriandrum sativum without using any surfactant or external energy. By this method, physiologically stable, bio-compatible Pd nanoparticles (NPs) were …

A Brief Review: Science at Nanoscale
Abstract: Nanotechnology is the manipulation of matters at atomic, molecular or supramolecular level. It is believed that nanotechnology developed after the famous speech of Richard Feynman in 1959. But here we have tried to show its earlier existences. Also the properties at nano scale have been discussed in detail. It is tried to study the reasons for change in properties at nanoscale. The methods of fabrication of nanomaterials are also studied. …

Nano Flake – A Cost-effective Method for Solar Cells
Abstract: A technical step forward may bring solar power within the grab of ordinary households, by both reducing the cost of producing solar cells and improving their efficiency. Solar energy currently accounts for less than 1% of the world’s electricity because it is a difficult and expensive means of electricity production. One of the key issues limiting the exploitation of solar energy is the cost per kWh of producing electricity. Solar …

Blue Shift of Sol-gel Synthesized ZnO Nano-particles: Size Dependent Quantum Confinement Effect
Abstract: Zinc oxide nano-crystals with different size and shape were synthesized by sol-gel technique at 90°C. ZnO nano-particles show (100), (002), (101), (102), (110), and (103) crystalline orientation and strong band-edge emission at 408 nm. Grain size of ZnO nano-crystals varies from 4 nm to 20 nm due to variation of molar ratio of polyethylene glycol with zinc acetate during synthesis. ZnO nano-materials with grain size 4 nm and 8 nm …
