Seismic Vulnerability Assessment and Enhancement of Steel Moment Resisting Frame with Hybrid Damping System
Abstract: Installation of energy dissipaters enhances the energy dissipation capacity of the structure. For an earthquake response, energy dissipation capacity and an innovative approach of design of these systems, this research work recommends use of Steel moment resisting frame (SMRF) enhanced with passive energy dissipaters. Non-linear time history analysis of a ten storied steel structure is carried out, with incremental dynamic loading of seven scaled earthquake ground motion time history records. …

Deterministic Analysis of Multilevel Structure with Geometric Non- Linearity
Abstract: After the invention of numerous Structural analyses software, there has been rapid changes in the analysis of multi-storey structures and skyscrapers. These software allows the designers and engineers to forecast precisely the critical elements of the design and the points to be reinforced before the actual construction of the structure. For the critical analysis, software utilizes the Geometric Non-linearity method which is one of the second order analysis. This is also …

Structural Behavior of Cold Form Steel Truss
Abstract: This paper presents analytical observation results on the performance of Cold Formed Steel Truss and Hot rolled Steel Truss. Two trusses of same dimensions and same type with different materials have been studied and compared. Both the materials are compared on the basis of “fast, better and economic construction”. One truss is completely designed and analyzed in Hot rolled steel while the same model is designed in Cold Formed steel. …

Study of vibration and dynamic analysis of machine foundation in ansys for deferent geometry
Abstract: The analysis of Machine Foundation involves not only static loads but also the dynamic loads which arecaused due to the working of the machine. Therefore, the machine foundation should survive these loads. Therefore,it becomes vital to reduce the natural frequency of soil beneath the foundation. The object of the project is to preparean explanatory handbook type documentation based on Indian Standards for the analysis and design of frame typemachine foundation …

Reviewing on the Performance of Masonry, Reinforced Concrete and Underground Tunnels against Blast Loading
Abstract: An explosion on the elevated structures caused by terrorist activities or manmade events can induce significant deformations in the Civil Engineering structures. Therefore, it is necessary to review the response of the structural systems such as masonry structures, reinforced concrete building structures and reinforced concrete tunnel. In order to understand the scope for protecting such a structures and the structural behaviour under blast loading, a detailed literature review is conducted. …
