The next 6G phase of evolution of the communication system is expected to deliver data speed
exceeding terabits per second, very low latency, and connectivity everywhere among heterogeneous devices. These performance goals can only be met through signal processing architecture paradigm shift. The paper will describe a Hybrid Signal Processing Framework (HSPF) which combines the analog and digital communication methods to leverage the complementary benefits of the two spheres. The framework integrates the analog front-end signal manipulation with smart digital baseband processing and augmented with machine learning algorithms to do adaptive modulation, channel estimation, and error correction. The proposed model is illustrated to have better spectral efficiency, less power consumption and robustness in high frequency (THz- band) conditions via simulation and comparative analysis. The study has an inspiration in coming up with power-efficient and high-speed 6G systems that can enable AI-based communication, holographic transmission,
and ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) environments.
