The evolution of innovative waste management techniques is increasingly pertinent in addressing the environmental challenges associated with the rising levels of waste generation. Within this framework, inorganic chemistry is identified as a crucial discipline facilitating resource recovery through the transformation of waste materials into valuable products, thereby minimizing environmental hazards. This review systematically examines the contributions of inorganic chemistry to innovative waste management practices, with particular emphasis on the recovery of metals, minerals, and other inorganic resources from industrial, municipal, and hazardous waste streams. The analysis underscores advanced methodologies, such as catalytic processes, ion exchange, and material recycling, all of which are predicated on the fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry. These technological advancements not only alleviate environmental impacts but also promote the establishment of sustainable circular economies.
