Background: Cancer is a silent critical killer among human community but cancer of breast which alters the quality of life of women is affecting all women throughout the world. By knowing the clinical nurse’s knowledge regarding early rehabilitation after mastectomy, it is understood that there are gaps in caring for patients with mastectomy and taking appropriate action to reduce its ill effects. Methods: A quantitative, quasi-experimental research design was employed. A total of 60 clinical nurses was included in research by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out regarding early rehabilitation after mastectomy in clinical nurses. Result: The findings reveal about pretest knowledge level scores related to initiation of early rehabilitation after mastectomy was 45.1%, mean (M) and standard deviation (σ) was 15.35 and 2.65, respectively. In the post-test knowledge level score was 74.1%, mean(M) and standard deviation(σ) was 25.20 and 3.09, respectively, and the enhancement of overall knowledge level score was 29.0%. Conclusion: This study has concluded that clinical nurses have prodigious increase in the knowledge related to initiation of early rehabilitation after mastectomy when compared with their previous knowledge, statistically significant at 5% level. Hence STP is effective methodology to enhance knowledge.
