The propagation of Internet of Things(IoT) devices has significantly transformed the technological landscape, prompting a reevaluation of power management strategies. Traditional power supply methods can be cumbersome, necessitating frequent battery replacements or inconvenient cord connections, which limit the versatility and deployment of IoT devices. This article explores the integration of wireless power charging technology into IoT ecosystems, examining its technical viability, practical applications, and potential to enhance the lifespans and operational efficiencies of IoT devices. Key advancements in resonant inductive coupling, RF harvesting, and microwave power transmission are reviewed, illustrating their roles in creating seamless and sustainable energy solutions. Challenges such as efficiency losses, power range limitations, and safety concerns are also discussed, offering insights into current research efforts aimed at overcoming these hurdles. Ultimately, wireless power charging not only optimizes IoT device functionality but also paves the way for more autonomous, environmentally-friendly, and user-friendly technology in a rapidly evolving digital era.
