Abstract

Financial technology (fintech) is revolutionizing the global financial sector by improving efficiency, inclusivity, and transparency. By integrating technology with financial services, fintech innovations, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), digital wallets, and peer-to-peer lending are challenging conventional systems. These advancements not only increase the accessibility of financial services for underserved communities but also provide unmatched convenience to consumers and businesses globally. Blockchain, one of the most significant innovations, has transformed the idea of trust in financial transactions. It provides secure, transparent, and decentralized record-keeping, which is vital for sectors like banking, supply chain management, and real estate. AI-based tools, on the other hand, streamline decision-making by offering predictive analytics for investment and risk management. Fintech’s impact on global markets is diverse. It lowers transaction fees, speeds up cross-border payments, and facilitates real-time financial data sharing. As a result, emerging economies are playing a more significant role in the financial sector, allowing small businesses to compete on a global scale. Digital currencies, another key fintech breakthrough, are challenging traditional monetary systems and sparking discussions about regulatory frameworks. However, these innovations bring their own challenges. Problems, such as cybersecurity threats, data privacy issues, and varying regulatory policies across regions pose significant barriers. Despite these challenges, the fintech sector is anticipated to keep growing, transforming financial systems and promoting greater global economic integration.
