Abstract

An analytical modeling and simulation methodology to improving load distribution in helical gear systems is presented in this research study. Fundamental parts of many mechanical systems, helical gears provide the benefits of smooth engagement, lower noise levels, and increased weight bearing capability. However, retaining lifespan and dependability in gear systems requires establishing regular load distribution throughout the gear teeth. This work explores the parameters influencing load distribution and suggests strategies for enhancing the efficiency of helical gear systems using sophisticated computational techniques and analytical methodology. The analytical model predicts contact stresses and load-sharing behavior among the gear teeth by taking into account qualities including gear shape, material properties, operating loads, and contact settings. The analytical model can be confirmed by numerical simulations, which also examine how different design parameters affect load distribution. The findings provide light on how surface roughness, lubrication conditions, helix angle, and tooth shape adjustments affect gear performance. Based on the results, design guidelines and suggestions are made to improve load distribution and optimize gear characteristics in real-world applications. By expanding the design of helical gears, this study helps to create mechanical systems that are more efficient and reliable.
