Modern design emphasizes simplicity, functionality and innovation, focusing on efficiency and minimalism. When allied with tradition, it enriches spaces with cultural depth, craftsmanship, and practices that respect history. As sustainability grows central, traditional techniques offer insights into resource efficiency and cultural continuity. The synergy between modern design and tradition is often misconstrued as a tension between historical continuity and contemporary progress. Many argue that modern architecture, with its emphasis on minimalism, advanced technology, and efficiency, renders traditional techniques and craftsmanship obsolete or irrelevant. This research advocates a more integrated design approach which highlights how modernity can reinterpret and rejuvenate tradition, weaving it into contemporary contexts in ways that honour cultural heritage while adapting to present-day needs. Instead of diminishing tradition, modern design refines and elevates it, merging timeless craftsmanship with advanced techniques. Methodology of this research is inspired by technological advancement and AI driven generative tools, such as AI-assisted restoration, preservation and modification based on area analysis, AI model with traditional data sets, AI generated modular units, and many more. This synthesis harmonizes tradition with modernity, creating spaces that are both innovative and deeply rooted in historical legacy. Outcomes of this study will be helpful to integratetraditional craft techniques & materials with contemporary building and design principles. Rather than serving as mere decoration, these elements can be integrated as essential components of the structure and design. Modern architecture, characterized by simplicity and minimalism, gains depth and cultural significance through the incorporation of traditional craft, imbuing the structure with warmth and cultural relevance.
