Tetrahydro-dibenzo[a,d][7]annulene-5,11-dihydrazone and Magnesium oxide Used to Control the Corrosion of Aluminium in Chloride ions Environment
Abstract: Chloride ions interact with aluminium in marine atmosphere to form corrosion cell. Due to this corrosion reaction occurs on their surface, aluminium is oxidized into Al3+. The corrosion reaction accelerates deterioration in metal and it produces galvanic, pitting, stress, crevice, intergranular corrosion. Chloride ions decrease internal and external strength of aluminium metal. It is a very important metal so used in different appliances for e.g. road, water, air transports, housing, …

Short Experimental Report on the Passive Microfluidic Flow in Fluid Mechanics
Abstract: In this work related to experiments, two individual polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) based microfluidic devices (microchannel bends) are fabricated by the following techniques: (a) maskless lithography, (b) hot embossing lithography, and (c) direct bonding technique. Dyed water is chosen as working liquid in this particular work. The CMOS camera is used to capture each passive microfluidic flow of dyed water in the fabricated devices. The effects of channel aspect ratio and centrifugal …

Investigation of Mass Transfer Coefficient and Gas Hold Up and Bubble Size Distribution in Novel Design of Stirred Tank Reactor
Abstract: Stirred tanks are commonly used in chemical industries for reaction and separation. Large-scale reactors include many impellers to improve mixing performance. Agitator plays an important role during the gas-liquid contact in two phase flow. And it is very necessary to know for the understanding of any gas-liquid system. So, in this study my motto is to study which parameters affects in the mixing of gas inside the liquid. The parameters …

Prediction of Compressive strength of Periwinkle Shell Aggregate Concrete Using a Quadratic Polynomial Function
Abstract: In this study, a mathematical model is developed to predict the compressive strength of normal concrete made with periwinkle shell as coarse aggregate using a quadratic polynomial function. The response function is expressed as a multivariable function of the proportions of the component materials (water, ordinary Portland cement, sand and periwinkle shell). A total of thirty experimental runs were used to demonstrate the applicability of the mathematical model developed. The …

Manufacturing of interlocking brick with cement- lime mortar and hyposludge
Abstract: Lime is still a valuable building material that is frequently used in construction as lime mortar. Hydrated lime can be added to concrete mixes used to make blocks and other concrete products. Sugarcane mud, also characterized as filter cake, is a byproduct of the sugar purification process. The introduction of these components into the environment pollutes it. There have been several attempts to address these difficulties. A experiment of manufacturing …

Behaviour of Micropiles Groups Subjected to Vertical Loads
Abstract: Micropiles are used to reinforce soils and to support foundations. It may be installed in several directions through existing foundations so as to increase the bearing capacity of the soil and to reduce the settlement. The group effects of micropile groups subjected to vertical loads in granular soils have been investigated by many research workers. However the findings have been found to be inconsistent indicating contradictory group effects. Group behaviour …

Predicting the Influence of Permeability’s on Settlement of Shallow Foundation
Abstract: Foundation settlement rose as soil permeability increased, excess pore pressure increased with depth, and decreased as shear modulus increased. The expanding soil cycle (shrinkage and expansion) that is principally responsible for foundation settlement is strongly related to water content. The application of modeling and simulation was used to monitor the effect of various soil properties on foundation settlement. But the focus of this study is on Permeability including other soil …

Finite Element Modeling of RC Beam Column Sub-assemblages Subjected to Column Loss Scenario
Abstract: Progressive collapse is a situation where a failure of whole or large part of a structure occurs that has been initiated by failure of a relatively small part of the structure such as failure of any primary structural element. When a vertical load carrying element, typically a column is lost, the loads that are supposed to pass through lost column need to be safely transferred to the adjacent elements to …
