Response of Zea mays to Rhizophagus Intraradices with 50% Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilizer Prevents the Release of N2O From the Soil
Abstract: The healthy growth of Zea mays (maize) requires NH4NO3/PO4--3 fertilizers (ammonium nitrate and phosphates), are applied in unregulated doses, are associated to denitrification, generating greenhouse gases, causing global warming, loss of soil productivity, and pollution of surface water in case of phosphates. An alternative is to decrease and optimize the dose of NH4NO3/PO4--3 by applying arbuscular vesicle fungi (AVF), to optimize, the dose of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, AVF endosymbionts …

An Analysis on the Current Perspective of Urban Design
Abstract: We know that urban design is historically played a major role in development of cities. Urban design, as a presently discipline, is relatively new compared to linked disciplines of architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture. The close relation of urban design with these allied disciplines has also been the cause for its unclear nature, and its muddled definition. Accordingly, it is appealed here that a reexamination of the definition, status, …

Drought Tolerance in Pearl Millet- I
Abstract: Stress tolerance has long fascinated plant biologists as a challenge to understand the mechanism of plant survival under biotic and abiotic stress conditions. Exposure of plants to abiotic stresses, such as high salinity, drought, extreme light and temperature leads to major loss in crop productivity. Pearl millet is one such crop that has been facing drought conditions and less productivity of the crop. This article is a short review on …

Isolation and Characterization of Rhizosphere-Competent Indigenous Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria for Biofertilizer Applications
Abstract: Phosphorus (P) is an essential nutrient for crop growth and development. Low levels of P in soil is due to high reactivity of soluble P with calcium (Ca), iron (Fe) or aluminum (Al) that lead to P precipitation. Mineral phosphate (P) solubilization is an important activity of rhizospheric bacteria that contribute significantly to the plant growth and development in eco-friendly manner. Four potent phosphate solubilizers (PSB-2, PSB-3, PSB-4 and PSB-7), …
