Novel method for determination of kinetic constants from dynamics in a batch reactor with constant heat input rate
Abstract: In this article a novel method of obtaining reaction kinetic constants is described. It consists of measuring both concentration and temperature dynamics in a batch reactor supplied with a constant heat input rate. A system of esterification reaction between acetic acid and methanol in the presence of a cationic resin catalyst is studied. This reversible reaction’s rate is modeled by molecular order and as pseudo homogeneous assumption. By just one …

Review of Silicon Reactivity of Self-assembled monolayer and its Properties
Abstract: In most cases, the assumption of perfect high viscosity between silicon and silver underlies the modelization of silicene on Ag(111). According to recent reports, growth does not take place on top of the Ag(111) terraces, but rather within the first layer of them. In this article, we present the results of a study that combines scanning tunnelling microscopy and density functional theory to simulate the nucleation process and reveal the …

Laws of Thermodynamics Challenge Greenhouse-Gas and CLIMATE- change Hypotheses
Abstract: The greenhouse-gas hypothesis (GGH), i.e., CO2 is the cause of global warming by ~1K from ~1950-2023, is popularly believed to be established scientific truth. It is generally assumed that heat emissions from global fuel combustion are, by comparison, negligible. An application of the Hess-Gibbs 1st law of thermodynamics, however, shows that the enthalpy (H) output from yearly fossil fuel consumption is seven times greater than the H- increase of hypothetical …

Study of Shear Strength Behaviour of Soil With Kaolinite Mixture
Abstract: An experimental testing program was undertaken for evaluating the effect of kaolinite on the strength properties of locally available sand and soil. Strength depends principally upon the content of (1) water, (2) clastic materials and (3) plastic materials. Soils are primarily of two types (1) cohesionless soils in which the strength this produced mainly by the friction of clastic particles against one another, and (2) cohesive soils in which the …
