Chemical Treatments to Modify the Surface of Agricultural Waste Fibers as a Green Substitute to Cellulosic Fiber Treatment
Abstract: Scientists are searching for natural elements that can decompose naturally and replace synthetic materials that have not been biodegradable for a while. The automotive, space, furniture, construction, medical, and packaging industries are among the many that use synthetic composite materials. This has resulted in growing interest in biodegradable bio composites. In recent years, a variety of stem fibers, including jute, flax, hemp, and kenaf, have been employed to replace the …

Investigations into the Features and Attributes of Low-Density Polyethylene/Thermoplastic Sago Starch Composites
Abstract: Low-density polyethylene, the material used to make most plastic shopping bags, has a considerable negative impact on the environment. It is enough intriguing for a substance to decay, develop for whatever reason (hydrolysis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc.), and be exposed to the elements. Sodium trimetaphosphate was used in this experiment to treat sago starch. Using additives (glycerol/urea, 1% benzophenone, and epolene wax) in the same amount of starch, sago starch was …

Investigating the Impact of Silicate Modification on Polypropylene-Layered Silicate Nanocomposite
Abstract: In this research, a co-rotating twin-screw extruder was used to create polypropylene/organo-layered silicate nanocomposites based on organo-muscovite. In the nanocomposite system, compatibilizers such as polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride and potassium succinate modified polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride were employed. The morphological, mechanical, thermal, and rheological characteristics of polypropylene/polypropylene graftedmaleicanhydride/organo-muscovite & polypropylene/potassium succinate modified polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride/organo-muscovite nanocomposites were investigated in relation to the effects of layered silicate modification and compatibilizers. …
