Synthesis of mixed metal oxides CuO-SnO, composite nano material for the study ofefficiency of textile fabrics as UV-absorbers
Abstract: In the present study we report the synthesis and characterization of nanosized copper oxide, tin oxide and composite of copper and tin oxide and their application on cotton fabrics forUV shielding. The CuO-SnO nanocomposite material prepared under different temperature90 0 - 150 °C by using water and 1,2-ethanediol as a solvent. Copper oxide, tin oxide andcomposite of copper and tin oxide nanoparticles were then applied to cotton sample to impartsunscreen activity …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles from Trapa bispinosa Fruit Extract: Characterization and Promising Antimicrobial Activity Against Multidrug-Resistant Pathogens
Abstract: Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) are widely recognized for their applications in medicine, electronics, and environmental remediation. This study presents a new green synthesis method for Ag NPs using Trapa bispinosa fruit extract as a natural reducing agent and stabilizing agent. Characterization of the synthesized Ag NPs through X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed a crystalline structure consistent with the face-centered cubic (fcc) arrangement, with peaks at (111), (200), (220), (311), and (222), …

An Analysis of the Mechanical Properties of Polyethylene Composites Reinforced with Short Vetiver Fibers
Abstract: Synthetic fibers (such as carbon, glass, ceramic fibers, etc.) are a cause of environmental concern, so natural fibers (such as vetiver, calotropis gigantea, flax, hemp, jute, etc.) are extensively used. In this study, the compression molding process was used to improve low-density polyethylene (LDPE) matrix composites reinforced with vetiver fiber (VF). Experiments were conducted by varying VF length, VF content, and fiber treatment time. The composites' static mechanical characteristics, including …

Eco-Friendly Corrosion Inhibition of Aluminum Alloys with Acacia nilotica in Acidic Media
Abstract: Gravimetric analysis was used to examine the corrosion inhibitory effects of Acacia nilotica extract in 0.5 N H2SO4 on aluminum alloy at different concentrations and at 303 K. At a corrosion inhibitor concentration 0.45% at 303 K, the inhibition efficiency is found to be remarkably high (52.25%). Results show that the extract's capacity to inhibit was caused by its adsorption onto the metal surface via the Langmuir adsorption process. For …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles using Aqueous Leaf Extract of Artabotrys odoratissimus R.Br.
Abstract: In the present study silver nanoparticles were synthesized using the aqueous leaf extract of Artabotrys odoratissimus R.Br. as the reducing agent. The formation of silver nanoparticles was confirmed by colour change from light yellow to dark brownish red, UV-Visible Spectroscopy, FTIR, X-Ray Diffraction Method (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray microanalysis spectroscopy (EDS). The nanoparticles showed an absorbance at 475.5nm on UV-Visible spectroscopy. Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) …
