International Journal of Mechanics and Designprovides a forum for scholarly work dealing with the mechanics. The purpose of the journal is to promote the recent advances that can create lasting impact on the ongoing research. Time to time journal will publish peer- reviewed papers that are research and development oriented and is of interest to the readers. Journal ensures that only good quality of papers are published depending upon the originality and relevance of the paper.
All contributions to the journal are rigorously refereed and are selected on the basis of quality and originality of the work. The journal publishes the most significant new research papers or any other original contribution in the form of reviews and reports on new concepts in all areas pertaining to its scope and research being done in the world, thus ensuring its scientific priority and significance.

- Fluid Mechanics and Computational Methods: Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, meshless methods, finite element method, airflow analysis.
- Multibody Dynamics: Vehicle dynamics, tire models, multibody simulation software, research trends in multibody systems.
- Experimental Stress Analysis: Stress concentration, stress analysis of cylinders, stresses in extruded and pressed metal parts, thermal stress, analytical and experimental validation methods.
- Analysis and Design of Machine and Structural Components: Machine tool structures, cast iron components, topological optimization, friction stir welding, damping, composite and hybrid materials, experimental modal analysis.
- Gas Turbines: Compressor and turbine blade design, blade cooling, combustion, hydrogen and natural gas fuels, nitrogen oxide emission control, combined cycle power stations, enthalpy analysis.
- Biomechanics: Mechanics of biological tissues, orthopedic implant design, human movement analysis.
- Quantitative Nondestructive Evaluation with Computational Inverse Methods: Eddy current modeling and inversion, pulsed eddy current testing, thin skin theory, reciprocity formulas, elastic wave propagation, dynamic response analysis, finite element and neural network–based inverse methods.
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies, and short communications. Quantum physics, and materials or energy studies with no mechanical analysis or design component, are out of scope. The journal serves mechanical, structural, and aerospace engineers, design and NDE specialists, researchers, and graduate students.
