International Journal of Plant Biotechnology:International journal of plant biotechnology is a comprehensive journal that covers all the topics of plant biotechnology, including plant physiology to plant tissue culture, from manipulation of plants to production of secondary metabolites under abiotic and biotic stress. Journal publishes recent advancements in the form of original research articles and review papers.
Focus & Scope
The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, case studies, short communications, and invited editorials in the following thematic areas:
- Plant Tissue Culture and Micropropagation: regeneration of improved crop varieties, disease-free plant production, genetic transformation, secondary metabolite production, embryo culture, callus culture, protoplast culture, anther culture, cell suspensions, and explant-based regeneration systems.
- Plant Breeding and Crop Improvement: germplasm collection and evaluation, parent selection, hybridization strategies, selection and testing of superior recombinants, cultivar release and commercialization, polyploidy breeding, induced mutations, and development of hybrid and synthetic varieties.
- Molecular Breeding and Genomics: molecular markers and marker-assisted selection, genomic screening technologies, genotype-to-phenotype associations, genome sequencing and annotation, epigenetics and epigenomics, genetic variation analysis, and genome-wide association studies.
- Plant Genetics and Molecular Biology: gene regulation and expression, genomic regulatory elements, genetic mechanisms (epistasis, dominance, heterosis), recombinant DNA technology, plant transformation methods, stress-responsive genes, and plant signal transduction pathways.
- Plant Physiology and Stress Responses: photosynthesis and photobiology, respiration, mineral nutrition, growth and development, reproductive biology, plant responses to abiotic and biotic stress, and physiological adaptation mechanisms.
