Abstract
Human started agriculture around 9500 BC. Since then many agricultural techniques were adoptedand abandoned. Today’s agricultural technique is completely different from when it was started orsome hundreds of years ago. Even though agriculture practices are dangerous for environment. Sinceancient time, forests were cut down to cultivate, and now extreme use of land for agriculture made itlose its fertility, and causing land go barren. Here, in this paper, we have discussed about thetechniques used till now as well as the research and development in agriculture. How can barren landbe fertile again? The various steps were taken in different countries to prevent from agricultural harmto environment. Also, the Indian aspect of agricultural techniques and a real-life example turnedbarren land into fertile again. How the agriculture allied industries are playing crucial role inpolluting environment? Also, we will discuss the reason that some countries banned BT seeds.Agriculture provides not just food but also raw material to many industries. It is a necessity forhuman survival and it is also necessary for us to understand that we depend on land a lot, and cannotignore its need. Now, it’s the time for us to change our techniques once again. The authors of thepresent paper have highlighted the emerging trends of agriculture practices, its effects onenvironment, application of treated wastewater in agriculture and transform barren land to fertileland and few case studies coupled with ideal approach.References (24)
