  1. Jayasri Jayamoorthy

Abstract

AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is a syndrome caused by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and attacks the T-cells (CD-4 cells and macrophages) leads to progressive detoriation of immnue system. Emerging nanotechnology using nanorobots to provide more effective treatment and prevention for HIV/AIDS by advancing antiretroviral therapy, microbicides, gene therapy, immunology and vaccinology therapy. It has no side effect and operates at specific site only.Nano-Robots initial design cost is very high. Recent advancement in the field of Nanotechnology gives the hope for the effective use of this technology in medical field. Keywords: AIDS, HIV, Nanorobots, Nanotechnology
