Study of Vehicle Emissions Using Regression Analysis

  1. I. Srinivasa Reddy ✉

Abstract

The paper presents the study of vehicle emissions in different places in Guntur urban area of Andhra Pradesh state in India. The types of vehicular emissions considered for the study are carbon monoxide (CO) and hydro carbons (HC) for petrol engines, and carbon (k) for diesel engines. The data collected from the RTO approved pollution check up vehicles. Data collected for 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers along with their year of registration. By using SPSS and Microsoft Excel softwares, the collected data was analyzed and obtained the regression equations. The obtained regression equations are useful to estimate the vehicular emissions in future for necessary action to minimize the effects on human health.
