DETAILED STUDY ON THE PROPERTIES OF PLASTIC CONCRETE CUTOFF WALL MATERIALS MIXED WITH WATERPROOFING ADMIXTURES
Abstract: This study presents the results of a comprehensive experimental work performed to characterize the mechanical and hydraulic properties of plastic concrete materials added with water-resisting and crystalline admixture as Permeability Reducing Admixture for Hydrostatic conditions (PRAH). The mechanical properties, deformation, permeability nature, triaxial stress-strain curve, hydration products, phase composition, and pore structure of plastic concrete with various proportions of PRAH were investigated. In addition to that, retarding admixture was used …

Experimental Investigation on the Properties of Concrete Replacing Waste Plastic as Aggregates for Solving Waste Management Problem
Abstract: Solid waste management is one of the growing problems of every country. As part of this ongoing program to consider the growing waste management, pollution problem, and prevention framework in India, the Ministry of Environment has suggested various approaches and ways through which we can either recycle or use the most polluting materials like plastic. The present study covers one of the ways through which to recycle one of the …

Exploring the Integration of Recycled Waste Materials in Concrete: A Comprehensive Overview
Abstract: The utilization of recycled materials from construction sites has experienced a notable increase in recent times, driven by the principle of efficient resource usage established by the International Council of Building in 1994. Recycled materials, including recycled concrete aggregate or brick aggregate sourced from construction and demolition waste, waste glass from municipal waste or recycled sources, and gypsum from gypsum boards, are being increasingly employed as substitutes for primary raw …

Assessment of Chloride Content in Plaster in Residential Buildings
Abstract: This study investigated the impact of chloride on building as per the age. Concrete samples were collected from buildings of different ages to measure chloride concentration. Findings revealed that chloride content increased with building age, potentially leading to decreased strength and damage. The research identified a significant concern of chloride-induced corrosion in older buildings, as chloride concentration increased with building age. To enhance the durability and safety of aging structures, …

Application of Fly Ash and Lime as Partial Replacement of Cement in Concrete
Abstract: Concrete as a construction material plays a significant role in infrastructures development in the world. The main constituents of concrete are cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, and water. Production of cement has been emitting a huge amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Hence causing environmental pollution. Amount of fly ash generation has been increasing day by day which has also been damaging the environment in the form air, water …
