Experimental Investigation of Concrete Properties for Strength and Durability with Partial Replacement of Mixture of Nano-Silica
Abstract: This study explores the effects of partial cement replacement with nano-silica on theproperties of concrete, focusing on both strength and durability aspects. Compressive strengthtests were conducted at two key ages, 7 days and 28 days, to evaluate the concrete's performanceunder various conditions. The nano-silica was introduced into the concrete mix at three differentpercentages: 0.3%, 0.6%, and 1% by weight of the cement content. Our experimental findingsindicated a remarkable enhancement in …

Compressive Strength and Chloride penetration on Semi-Lightweight Concrete Made Up of Artificial Aggregates
Abstract: This paper deals with the properties of semi-Light weight concrete prepared by using Light weight wood ash pellets as coarse aggregates. It can be prepared by varying the cement content from 300 to 450 kg/m3. Optimum design mix can be finalised by studying the engineering properties such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, young’s modulus and rapid chloride penetration test. Various trial mixes have been attempted in the laboratory by …

Modeling 28 Days’ Curing Compressive Strength of Concrete Partially Replaced with Palm Kernel Shell as Aggregate Influenced by Porosity
Abstract: Twenty-eight days of curing to determine compressive strength of concrete were carried out throughthe application of modeling and simulation. The development of concrete compressive strength wascarried out by integrating palm kernel shell (PKS) as partial replacement for aggregate. Studies weremonitored to determine its rates of strength development by partially replacing PKS at differentpercentage of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% to determine the optimum compressive strength withinthe applied percentage of …

Optimizing Aggregate Gradation for Enhancing Strength Properties of Pervious Concrete
Abstract: Pervious concrete possesses high permeability enabling environmental applications like stormwater recharging. However, lower strength limits widespread infrastructure adoption necessitating enhancements. This study focuses on optimizing aggregate proportions for improving compressive and flexural strength. Mixes were developed with cement variations from 200-500 kg/m3 with fine to coarse aggregates ratios systematically altered. Strengths were measured as per ASTM C39 and ASTM C78. Results showed reduced water-cement ratio and balanced aggregate blends improved …

A Review on Waste Bakelite as Replacement Partially Over Coarse Aggregate in Concrete Mix
Abstract: Various components in India are made up of Bakelite. Saffron Global Dumping of waste Bakelite through landfill is not allowed due to it effect on soil mass and open burning is not allow because of the emission of harmful gases which cause air pollution. A large space of storehouse requires to store large amount of area for keeping waste Bakelite which becomes management problem of waste. Despite managing waste Bakelite …
