Numerical Techniques Applied on Hydrostatic Bearing using Computational Fluid Dynamics
Abstract: In hydrostatic bearing, the oil or lubricant is supplied to the required place in bearing from external source that place is the recess. The oil enters axially and leaves perpendicularly. The important task for the purpose of analysis is finding pressure distribution in the recess. The problem here is that, it is possible to find out analytical solution for one dimension, but it is not possible to find out pressure …

Renewable Energy Technologies for Future and Sustainable Development
Abstract: People are relying upon oil for primary energy and this will continue for a few more decades. Other conventional sources may be more enduring but are not without serious disadvantages. The renewable energy resources are particularly suited for the provision of rural power supplies and a major advantage is that equipment such as flat plate solar driers, wind machines, etc., can be constructed using local resources. Without the advantage results …

A Comprehensive Combustion Kinetics Modeling Study of Iso-Octane and Air Mixtures
Abstract: The oxidative behavior of the iso-octane (2,2,4-trimethylpentane) has been studied in a range of experimental facilities in order to investigate the relatively unexplored combustion chemistry of the title species and to provide combustor relevant experimental data. The ignition of iso-octane/air and iso-octane/O2 mixtures was studied at temperatures of 600–1300 K, pressures of 1–50 atm, and equivalence ratio 0.5 to 2. This study has been conducted analytically using a kinetic scheme …

Kalina Cycle Thermal Analysis Using Heat Recovery Process
Abstract: It is not possible to measure very high temperature with help of physical temperature measuring probes, so in order to get temperature of flue gases, inverse heat transfer theory is applied. Measuring the temperature on outside wall of pipe from which flue gases are going out, it is possible to get calculated values of flue gases (which is not possible to get with physical probe) using inverse heat transfer analysis. …

An Overview on Sterling Engine
Abstract: This paper presented an overview on Stirling engine, working principle and history of sterling engine. Power and efficiency of the engine must be not lower than their averaged values for the same engine working in unsteady conditions. This paper represents different researches on sterling engine and its modification and use from past to present.
