Abstract
In order to improve the automation and effectiveness of lighting systems in smart buildings, this research details the development of a Smart Lux Level Controller based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Using a BH1750 light sensor, the system continually measures the ambient lux levels and instantaneously adjusts the artificial lighting intensity to ensure optimal illumination. An ESP32 microcontroller analyzes sensor data and controls lights using relay switches or dimming circuits to ensure that energy is only used when necessary. The system offers remote monitoring and management through a mobile or online interface, manual override options, and real-time lux level readings thanks to the incorporation of IoT technologies. This feature increases user convenience by enabling efficient lighting adjustment without the need for physical interaction. The technology, which has been tested in a variety of climates, effectively ensures user comfort while minimizing excessive energy usage and maintaining consistent illumination. Its design, which has an emphasis on simplicity, scalability, and adaptability, makes it suitable for usage in corporate, home, and commercial contexts. Overall, the proposed IoT-based Smart Lux Level Controller promotes sustainable building practices by providing an automated, responsive lighting system that supports energy savings and the construction of smart environment in the future.
