Abstract
Hypertension is also known as high blood pressure. Hypertension is called when the pressure on blood vessels is too high. The only way to know is to get the blood pressure checked regularly. The main aim of the study is to identify the effectiveness of non-pharmacological management of hypertension among nursing students. Methodology: An evaluative approach was used to evaluate effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programmed of B.sc nursing students. Pre experimental one group pre- test, post-test research design is used that aimed at finding out the knowledge of B.sc nursing students. Convenient sampling technique was used to select 30 samples from selected nursing colleges, Bangalore. Results: the findings of the study showed that 9(30%) of respondents having moderate knowledge, 18(60%) are having adequate knowledge, 3(10%) of them are having inadequate knowledge. Conclusion: The study findings revealed that majority of the nursing students were having moderate knowledge regarding non pharmacological management of hypertension. It opens a big venue for the further research on innovative methods of creating awareness and develops knowledge regarding this..
