Background: Encouraging assertive behaviour can be achieved through educational approaches or training initiatives, ideally integrated into undergraduate nursing programs. The self-esteem of nurses significantly shapes their thoughts, emotions, motivation, and actions, thereby directly influencing the quality of care patients receive. Nursing students often exhibit a positive outlook on their profession, viewing themselves as proficient caregivers capable of delivering exceptional quality care to those in need.  Objective: The study aimed to assess the effectiveness ofAssertiveness Training Program on Assertiveness, self-esteem & Attitude toward the Nursing course among nursing students.Materials and Methods:This true experimental study was conducted on the Nursing studentsThe sample consisted of 136 nursing students selected through Simple random sampling technique and divided into two groups: experimental group with 68 participants and control group with the same number. Data gathering tools included Structured Assertiveness assessment scale, Structured Self-esteem assessment scale, Structured Attitude assessment scale. Assertiveness training program was carried out on the experimental group in 4 sessions after 4^th session post-test was carried out for both groups, statistical test such as paired t-test, unpaired t-test  were used to interpret and analyse the data.  Result:The present study shows significant difference between the post-test assertiveness, self-esteem and attitude score of experimental group and control group, the obtained t-value was 5.01 with ‘p’ value of 0.0001. The self-esteem obtained t-value was 9.17 with ‘p’ value of 0.0001. Similarly the attitude Obtained t-value was 3.93 with ‘p’ value of 0.0001. Conclusion: The research findings suggest that implementing an Assertiveness Training Program could prove effective in enhancing assertiveness, self-esteem, and attitudes towards the nursing profession.
