Technical Yarns from Newly developed Indigenously Fabricated Folding Unit
Abstract: A small machine was developed indigenously with a new concept for the manufacturing of different kinds of technical yarn. This prototype machine is only for the production of coarser counts and it gives the core-sheath yarn structure. The yarn obtained from this machine can be comparable with yarn produced on DREF spinning. Any type of core material, like cut selvedge produced from modern looms, metallic wires, and the filament yarns …

Drilling of Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRPs) Materials: A Literature Survey
Abstract: The use of polymer composite materials has increased rapidly over the last decade and the numbers of papers for the machining of these materials has also increased. The aim of this paper is to present a literature survey on the resins, properties, the superiority of the hole produced in drilling of the fibre reinforced plastics (FRPs), different techniques used to detect the defects in composite structures that may be caused …

Performance of High Volume Fly Ash Concrete Using Local Power Plant Fly Ash
Abstract: Total production of fly ash in Indian Thermal Power plants is approximately 160 million tons annually. Except some super power plants, the quality of fly ash is said to be inferior in most of the power plants. The suitability of fly ash from local power plants for production of high volume fly ash (HVFA) concrete is not tested so far. The aim of the present investigation is to ascertain whether …

Comparative study of the Magnetoelectric Properties in Core-Shell Nanocomposites as well as mixture of CoFe2O4:BaTiO3
Abstract: Nanostructures of multiferroic materials have been drawing increasing curiosity due to the boosted magnetoelectric coupling and potential for succeeding generation multifunctional devices. Composites of ferroelectric and magnetostrictive materials indicate more magnetoelectric coupling than single phase materials. Core-shell CoFe2O4:BaTiO3 nanocomposites (1:1 weight ratio) and a mixture of both of them have been produced by a combination of hydrothermal and sol gel techniques. X ray diffraction analysis endorses the presence of both …
