Green Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Studies of Ni(II) and Cu(II) Schiff Base Complexes
Abstract: Solvent-assisted mechanochemical reaction was used to synthesize new transition metal complexes of Ni(II) and Cu(II) with Schiff base ligand (H2L) obtained from condensation of 2-hydroxy-1- napthaldehyde with 2 aminobenzimidazole. Melting point/decomposition temperature, solubility test, FT-IR, powder x-ray analysis, conductivity measurement, magnetic susceptibility, elemental microanalysis, and UV/VIS spectral investigations were used to characterize the Schiff base and complexes. The complexes are of varied colours and have sharp melting points, and they …

Synthesis, Characterization and Photoconductive Properties of Antimony Selenium Iodide
Abstract: A shiny needle-shaped polycrystalline chalcogenide compound, SbSeI, was synthesized through a solid-state thermal reaction by combining the constituent elements in a stoichiometric ratio within an evacuated quartz tube at 585°C for 3.5 hours. The resulting compound was characterized using SEM, EDAX, and XRD techniques to confirm its structure and composition. The resistance versus temperature curve revealed the semiconducting nature of the material with a resistivity of 3.5 x 10⁷ Ω-cm …

Study the Corrosive Effect of Greenhouse Gases on Metallic and Non-metallic Materials
Abstract: Carbon dioxide is a major corrosive pollutant for building materials. It enters inside materials by diffusion or osmosis process and in presence of moisture it produces H2CO3 which decrease the pH value and accelerates chemical and electrochemical reaction with building materials. The carbonation reaction produces deterioration inside and outside of building materials. It produces corrosion reaction with metallic bar and disbanding with concrete. CO2 reacts with Ca (OH)2 and Mg(OH)2 …

Investigating the integration of renewable energy systems in buildings and their impact on energy consumption
Abstract: Energy consumption in a building conventionally utilizes non-renewable resources that affect the ecosystem. The increase in usage of non-renewable energy increases carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, and depletion of energy resources. Renewable energy resources can significantly reduce the impacts caused by non-renewable energy resources in a building. The issues that need to be kept in mind while designing energy-efficient buildings are the reduction of energy consumption originating from …
