Potential of Urban Agriculture to Enhance Architecture and Lifestyle in Indian Context
Abstract: Since the dawn of humankind, there has been a need for food and shelter. As a result, human life and behaviors as a whole have evolved. But, in recent decades the world has seen tremendous growth in terms of population and usage of resources. The rapid and haphazard urbanization has caused a major loss in parts of rural agricultural lands to build urban infrastructure. India, being the world's largest population …

Sero-prevalence of Hydatidosis Among Patients Visiting Neurological Department of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal
Abstract: Hydatidosis caused by Echinococcus granulosus remain as a considerable problem for public health and livestock economy in developing countries. A hospital based Screening of 80 neurological patients visiting neurology department of TUTH was carried out. Of the total studied samples 10 (12.5%) were found to have positive sero-prevalence towards E. granulosus (hydatidosis) using commercial indirect ELISA kit. The high rate of sero- prevalence was found among the dalit ethnic group …

Antibiotics Mediated as Antibiotics Growth Promotants (AGP)
Abstract: Antibiotic resistance in human infections has emerged as a serious public health concern. Some of the resistance problem may be traced back to the transmission of resistant bacteria from animals to humans, as well as the transmission of resistance genes from animal pathogens and commensal bacteria to human infections. Improvements in food cleanliness are among the control methods used to minimise the transmission of zoonotic germs to humans via the …

Animal Cloning using Genetic Engineering and Applications
Abstract: Extracellular pronuclear DNA microinjection in zygotes, injection of genetically modified embryonic stem cells into blastocysts, are all examples of genetic engineering procedures used to create transgenic animal models. Enhancing animal production and productivity, improving animal disease resistance, and biomedical applications are all part of this technique. Cloning is the process of creating animals with the same genetic makeup as the donor nucleus. Somatic cell nuclear transfer has been the most …

Resilience Enhancement for Animal Breeding Programs
Abstract: Resilience is an animal's ability to be unaffected by disturbances or to quickly reverts to the condition it was in prior to the interruption. Furthermore, generic markers for response to various environmental disruptions are still to be developed, and so resilience may not yet be included within the breeding strategies. New resilience indicators based on data obtained have been implemented as a result of recent improvements in big data collection, …

Botanicals Insecticides – A Source of Weapons against Pests and Insects of Plants
Abstract: In agricultural crop production, the synthetic pesticides and insecticides are used which has got occasionally carcinogenic and residual toxic effects. The disproportionate use of it also causes severe health risks to human life, livestocks, fishes, birds, wild life and animals. Therefore, there is an immediate requirement for unconventional nontoxic pesticides. The tropical plants are natural rich source of phytochemicals having antimicrobial and biological properties. Green plants are natural biochemical factories. …

Impact of Agriculture Production on Climate: Contributor and Victim
Abstract: The agriculture production is one of the major contributors in emission of Greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission, soil degradation, biodiversity losses and pollution and hence both contributor and victim to climate change. According to IPCC, Agriculture sector accounts to around 24 percent of total GHGs emission. The Impact on climate largely depends on the agricultural practices of scale of these farming/agricultural practices of farmers. As per consensus of IPCC, its already …
