The Performance of Microbial Lipase Immobilized onto Ion Exchange Resins and onto the Natural Zeolite Clinoptilolite
Abstract: The paper describes a study into the performance of a microbial lipase immobilized on to four different ion exchangers. Lipase from the yeast Candida rugosa was immobilized onto the anionic ion exchange resins Dowex MWA-1, Purolite A109, and Amberlite IR45. The performance of the immobilized lipase in each case was evaluated by measuring the immobilization efficiency and by following the reaction kinetics of hydrolysis of a tri-glyceride ester to free …

Heavy Metals in Soil and Their Impact on Plant Health: A Contamination Study
Abstract: This study investigates heavy metal uptake, tolerance, and sequestration mechanisms in various plants, focusing on crops, such as tea, vegetables, and fruit trees that are susceptible to heavy metal contamination. Trace elements in plants, if overabundant, pose toxicity risks by disrupting metabolic and physiological functions. Plants counteract heavy metal complexes by immobilizing them within cell walls or vacuoles or by binding them to organic compounds produced in situ. Elevated levels …

Recent Advances in Aquasomes Carrier Nanotechnology for Drug Delivery
Abstract: Aquasomes are a nanobiopharmaceutical carrier device with nanocrystalline calcium phosphate or ceramic diamond particle center and a polyhydroxyl oligomeric film covering them. Aquasomes are spherical 60–300 nm objects that are used to deliver drugs and antigens. It was an effective carrier mechanism for bioactive molecules such as peptides, proteins, hormones, antigens, and genes to particular locations because of properties such as defense and preservation of fragile biological molecules, conformational integrity, …
