Covid-19–A Real Killer or Created Hullabaloo
Abstract: In Current scenario, it seems as the medical science just knows only the NOVEL CORONA VIRUS (nCOv) as the only existing disease or infection on this planet and no other pathology exists. nCoV is a newly discovered strain that has not been known in humans to cause any infection in the past. In last 20 years we have seen the large-scale disease outbreaks which were caused by the zoonotic coronaviruses. …

PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR CORROSION CONTROL IN CRUDE OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Abstract: Corrosion is a major problem in the global oil and gas industry, as crude oil and gas production operations are shut down on daily basis, because of facility failure, due to the deterioration and the loss of a facility and its critical properties due to chemical, electrochemical and other reactions of the exposed facility surface with the surrounding environment. Efforts have been made to eliminate corrosion in crude oil and …

Studies of Technical Grades from Rice Husks
Abstract: Rice husks studied in this review to subject different accessible performance in lieu of abated the dispose with no pollution. Rice husk ash in mesoporous form added in soap during preparation. Other formations appeared to process for ceramics, catalysts, adsorbing material, nano-mater and carbon added cementation products. Rice husk is by-product from rice mill subjectively reused to access another staged mission to form by-products. Firing of rice husk studied other …

Agronomy of Rice Husks
Abstract: Rice husk and hull is the waste material of rice mill. These have been hard, fibrous and abraded capabilities. Bio active and biodegradable rice husk/hull have been studied to claim remaining form by firing at scaled opts of amorphous and crystal forms of silica. Metallic constitutive like iron, manganese, sodium, potassium, lead, copper have suggestive towards route to subscribe purest form after firing. Preparations out of raw forms have subjectively …

Electrodeposition of Bright Zn–Co–Fe Alloy Coatings on Mild Steel and Their Characterization
Abstract: Sulphate bath having ZnSO4. 7H2O, CoSO4. 7H2O, FeSO4.7H2O and thiamine hydrochloride (THC) and citric acid (CA) in combination, was optimized for deposition of bright Zn–Co–Fe alloy coating on mild steel. Bath constituents and operating parameters were optimized by Hull cell method, for highest corrosion performance against coating. The effect of current density on deposit characters viz., corrosion resistance, hardness, thickness, CCE were evaluated. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) …

CORROSION RESISTANCE OF BINARY AND TERNARY ALLOY COATINGS FROM ACID SULPHATE BATH
Abstract: Electroplating of three binary (Zn-Ni, Zn-Co and Zn-Fe) and two ternary (Zn-Ni-Co and Zn-Co-Fe) alloy coatings were developed onto mild steel substrate using 2-((4-chlorophenyl) amino)-1-(6-methyl-1H-pyrazolo [3, 4 - b] quinolin-1-yl) ethanone (CME) as an additive. Hull cell technique was used to optimize the bath constituents and operating conditions. Corrosion rate of binary and ternary alloy coatings were determined using potentiodynamic polarization method. Corrosion rate of ternary Zn-Ni-Co alloy coating was …

Induced codeposition of Ni-W alloy coatings using glycerol as additive and their characterization
Abstract: As a promising coating material to replace hard chromium coating, the development of nickel–tungsten (Ni-W) alloy coatings of good corrosion protection is of great interest in surface coating technology. Further, the effect of plating variables, including additive on the composition of alloys of induced co-deposition is more vagarious than in other types of alloy deposition. In this regard, an alkaline citrate bath has been formulated for electrodeposition of Ni-W alloy …

Study of Microstructure and corrosion effects of precipitation hardened high strength AA-7xxx aluminium alloy subjected to cryo rolling
Abstract: The strength and life of an alloy is the primary parameter taken into consideration while building hulls and superstructures for marine applications. Usually AA-7xxx is widely used for these applications and hence is chosen for the present investigation. Cast AA-7xxx alloy reveals distribution of soluble intermetallic compounds in the α-aluminium matrix. In order to improve the mechanical properties and condition the microstructural features, precipitation hardening (solutionizing and ageing) treatment was …
