The Influence of Hexanol and Methyl Acetate as Oxygenated Additives with Diesel Fuel in a Diesel Engine Generator
Abstract: Diesel engines play a vital role in all the major sectors (such as transportation and industrial) due to their high efficiency, durability, reliability and low operating cost. At the same time, they are considered as one of the biggest contributors of environmental pollution by releasing enormous amount of toxic gases to atmosphere (such as NOx, HC, CO2 and PM). Emissions from transport, especially motor vehicles, increase the level of gases …

CFD on Parametric Analysis of Compression Ignition Engine by using Star CCM+
Abstract: Stringent emission from the conventional vehicles draws attention of automobile researches to develop engine either high fuel efficiency and low emission of NOx, CO and unburnt hydrocarbons. Hence, there by Homogeneous charge compression ignition came to the effect. Homogeneous charge compression ignition engine is the type of engine the well organised mixture of air and fuel ratio enters into the combustion chamber, and it is compressed up to auto-ignited temperature …

STUDY DIESEL-RK APPLICATIONS IN THE COMPUTATION AND ANALYSIS OF TECHNOLOGICAL AND SOCIOECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF DIESEL ENGINES USING HEAVY FUELS IN ORDER TO TEST WITH DIFFERENT PISTON BOWL DESIGNS
Abstract: The influence of different piston bowls on the Diesel-RK will be demonstrated in this test as the engine is the heart of vehicles for existence like human heart needed for survival. The piston bowl shows a significant influence on the load stratification in the transition area. The compression ratio shows a trade-off of NOx reduction with unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide emissions. In today's society, people have attempted to employ …

Flutter study of a solar powered high-altitude long endurance UAV
Abstract: This paper presents an aero-elastic flutter analysis on a high altitude long endurance unmanned air vehicle. Numerical finite element analysis (FEA) based simulations for flutter have been carried using the commercial FEA package ANSYS. Analytical flutter analysis is performed to verify the FEA results. The analytic flutter analysis gives the divergence speed to be 32.7 m/sec. The numerical flutter analysis of the rudder shows the bending and torsional modes for …

A Brief Description on the Use of Honeycomb Structures in Aerospace Applications
Abstract: Following by the motto of manufacturing light-weighted vehicles with low strength to weight ratio, lower stiffness and density, engineering sectors namely, aviation, automobile designing, light weight construction are largely influenced by structural conjuration of a honeycomb. Inspired by the notion, many organizations are working out on improvised form of honeycomb structural panels. Since the adhesive property of hexagonal honeycomb structures is of major concern in aircraft component. The use of …

Weight Optimization of Motorcycle Frame by Finite Element Analysis
Abstract: Frame is one of the main components of the two-wheeler vehicle. All the important accessories of the two-wheeler are mounted on the frame. It is subjected to various types of loads which could affect the life of the frame. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the motorcycle frame for various parameters such as thickness, materials and loading conditions. The optimization of design is very difficult and the effect is little …

A Comparative Study to Assess the Patient Feedback of Experiences During Blood Sample Collection Through Eclipse Method and Syringe Method among Inpatients in Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Jayanagar, Bangalore (India)
Abstract: Human blood is a scarce resource and its role in healthcare is fundamental, with donated blood saving the lives of many on a daily basis. The blood supply chain is responsible for the transfer of blood from donor to the recipient, but the availability of such an invaluable resource as human blood is ultimately attributable to the many voluntary donors. Thus, the efficiency of the collection of donated blood is …

Acute Spinal Cord Injury: Assessment and Management
Abstract: Around the world, 250000–500000 people every year face a spinal cord injury. Cause of acute spinal cord injuries includes falls, motor vehicle accidents, sport injuries, trampoline accidents, gunshot, stab wound, abscess/infection on the spinal cord and birth injuries which affect the spinal cord. Most spinal cord injuries are due to preventable causes such as road traffic crashes, falls or violence. The term ‘spinal cord injury’ refers to damage to the …
