Avian Pathogenic E. Coli Alters the Transcriptome Profile of the Liver in Broiler Chicks
Abstract: Avian Pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) causes different pathological conditions in chickens of all age groups. In the present study, the transcriptome profile of APEC infected liver samples and control birds was studied. We sequenced 12 liver RNA libraries generated from six APEC infected and control liver samples, respectively. The RNA Seq of the control and infected liver samples generated 10.64 to 13.80 million pair-end reads. Genes were detected as differentially …

In silico evaluation for the repurposing of antiviral drugs towards multiple targets of monkey pox viral disease
Abstract: Objective: Monkeypox is a growing public health problem. The disease is caused by the monkeypox virus. The latest epidemic has been linked to previously unknown mutations and variations. Tecovirimat is a poxvirus medication that has been licenced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Otherwise, there is little pharmacopoeia and scientific interest inmonkeypox. Computational screening and molecular interactions were used in this work to investigate the possible repurposing of …

Cow’s milk trigger for type 1 diabetes
Abstract: Diabetes is an autoimmune, metabolic disorder that occurs when the pancreas stops producing insulin hormones. Type 1 diabetes or juvenile diabetes may occur genetically due to viral infection, vitamin D deficiency and environmental factors. Cow’s milk protein is one of the causes for type 1 diabetes. Casein protein which is found in the cow’s milk is responsible for production of antibodies bovine β–lacto globulin. Such antibodies destroy the β cell …

Possible drugs for Huntington’s disease from Capsicum annuum developed using molecular docking against Huntington protein
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Capsicum annuum as a suitable plant for the treatment of Huntington’s disease using Pyrx. Huntington’s disease results in the damage of the nervous system over a period of time. For this study, we take into consideration Capsaicin, a compound obtained from the fruit of Capsicum annuum (bell pepper) responsible for giving the fruit it’s pungent odor. Studies show that Capsaicin plays a crucial role …

Desizing of Cotton Fabrics With Enzymes for Improved Performance
Abstract: Desizing of cotton substrates with Amylase enzymes has been practiced since long time and is commercially successful. Amylases convert the water insoluble starches, used during sizing operation for enhancing the performance of the warp yarns, into water soluble products which are removed during subsequent washing. The use of enzymes for desizing is quite safe for the cotton substrates and do not cause any detrimental effect on the cotton cellulose unlike …

Botanicals Insecticides – A Source of Weapons against Pests and Insects of Plants
Abstract: In agricultural crop production, the synthetic pesticides and insecticides are used which has got occasionally carcinogenic and residual toxic effects. The disproportionate use of it also causes severe health risks to human life, livestocks, fishes, birds, wild life and animals. Therefore, there is an immediate requirement for unconventional nontoxic pesticides. The tropical plants are natural rich source of phytochemicals having antimicrobial and biological properties. Green plants are natural biochemical factories. …

Phosphate Solubilizing Microbes: Sustainable Approach for Managing Phosphorus Deficiency in Agricultural Soils
Abstract: As compared to many other major nutrients, phosphorus is by far the least mobile and accessible to plants in almost all type of soil conditions. Phosphorus occurs in abundant quantity in soils in both organic and inorganic forms; still it is frequently a prime limiting factor for plant growth. The bioavailability of inorganic phosphorus in the soil rhizosphere varies with factors that include: type of plant species, nutritional status of …

Studies on Batch Leaching of Excess Salt from Agricultural Soil
Abstract: This paper discusses about the experimentation on leaching of salt from agricultural soil. The leaching behavior of agricultural soil is studied for the recovery of salt. The main aim of leaching of salt from agricultural soil is to remove the salt from agricultural soil as the presence of salt in soil affects the soil fertility and causes 'structural breakdown' in grains. Hence this process is used to remove excess salts …
