Isolation and Characterization of Alkaloidsfrom Ancistrocladus Heyneanus Leaves: A Phytochemical Study
Abstract: Leaves of Ancistrocladus heyneanus were collected from the forest of the Matheran hills of Maharashtra. From these leaves, alkaloids were extracted using dichloromethane, and two new monomeric Naphthyl-iso-quinoline alkaloids, Youndamine A and Ancistrocline were isolated using TLC and HPLC. HPLC/MS and NMR further identified the patient. The present study involves the collection and chemical investigation of the leaves of Ancistrocladus heyneanus, a plant species found in the forested regions of …

Investigation of the Compatibility of Binary and Ternary Polymer Systems
Abstract: We have obtained mechanical strength of materials as a result not by synthesizing new polymers, but by using industrial polymers. We have developed a technology for obtaining new composite materials based on industrial multi-tonnage polymers of high-strength polyethylene (HSPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane thermoplastic elastomer (DUTEP), butyl rubber (BR), chlorocarboxylate polyethylene (CCPE), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR). To obtain a composition from these polymers, their mixture compatibility was first determined using …

Establishment of a Sensitive LC-MS Method for Pharmacokinetic Evaluation of Decitabine and Cedazuridie in Rat Plasma
Abstract: A simple, rapid, and highly sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) method was successfully developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Decitabine and Cedazuridine in plasma matrices. The method demonstrated excellent linearity across the selected calibration range, with correlation coefficients (R²) consistently exceeding 0.999 for both analytes, indicating strong analytical performance. Method validation was carried out in accordance with ICH Q2(R2) and US FDA bioanalytical method validation guidelines, ensuring compliance …

Evaluation of Kinetic Parameters of Crude Oil Remediation Using Bio-Stimuant of Mint Leaf (Mentha piperita)
Abstract: Kinetic parameters of crude oil degradation as related to total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) were evaluated. The experiment was set-up using crude oil, loamy soil polluted and addition of bio-stimulant (nutrient based substance). The depletion of the pollutant was monitored within the contact time of 7 to 35 days. At intervals of 7 days samples were collected and analyzed to determine the TPH concentration at each bioreactor set-up, through subjecting the …

General and Organic Chemistry Laboratory Experiments for Science , Pre-medical, and Pharmacy studentsChapter IV: Identification and Purification of Organic Compounds
Abstract: In order to identify an organic compound, a chemist needs to apply the suitable technique, depending on the compound state. Accordingly, melting point identification is applied for solids, boiling point for liquids, and sublimation for some compounds which have the tendency to sublime. On the other hand, When an organic compound is isolated from its natural source such as plants, it can be contaminated with some other undesirable compounds, called …

Supercritical Fluid Extraction: Mechanisms, Applications, and Recent Developments
Abstract: Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) is an advanced and versatile separation technique that harnesses the unique properties of supercritical fluids (SCFs) to extract a wide variety of compounds from both solid and liquid matrices. Supercritical fluids, which are substances at a temperature and pressure above their critical points, possess both liquid-like density and gas-like viscosity, making them highly effective solvents for extraction processes. This review delves into the underlying mechanisms of …

Evaluations of Treatment Performance of Tangerine and Cashew Leaves in TPH Removal from Contaminated Swampy and Clay Soils
Abstract: This study evaluates the effectiveness of two plant-based treatments, Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) and Cashew (Anacardium occidentale) leaves, in the bioremediation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) from polluted swampy soil. The performance of these treatments was assessed over an 84-day period using 100g of each treatment. The results demonstrated significant degradation of TPH, with Tangerine leaf showing a slight edge over Cashew leaf in the remediation process of crude oil- contaminated …
